❤️12 Steps to Healthy Habits — One Sip at a Time
Sips Ahoy!
The Adventures of Sip & Slim
Aboard the SS Mission: Simple Solutions
This is not about rules.
This is about learning how to listen to your body.
Step 1. Start With a Sip
Before snacks, meals, or treats — take a sip of water.
Captain Sip always checks thirst first.
Step 2. Pause Like a Pirate
Take one slow breath.
Pirates don’t rush — they think first.
Step 3. Ask the Question
Am I hungry…
or am I bored, tired, or just want a treat?
Step 4. Choose Helpers First
Fruits, veggies, or real food go first.
Treats can come later — not never.
Step 5. Eat Slowly
Chew like a turtle — nice and slow.
Take a sip of water between bites.
Speed is where overeating hides.
Step 6. One Is Plenty
You can always have more later.
Start with one serving — one scoop, one slice, or one helping — and see
how you feel.
Your future self will be glad you did.
Step 7. Notice the Feeling
When your tummy feels okay but your mouth still wants more — that’s a signal your body is full.
Pause, sip water, and let your brain catch up
before deciding what to do next.
Step 8. Pick the Middle
Not too much.
Not none.
Pirates call this the Middle Path — simple choices that keep you feeling good.
Step 9. Reset With Water
Big snack?
Big party?
Big day?
Sip water, eat lighter for a bit, and get back to feeling good — no guilt.
Step 10. There Is No Finish Line
Being healthy isn’t something you win.
It’s something you practice a little every day.
Step 11. Be Kind to Yourself
Everyone has off days.
Kind pirates don’t blame themselves — they learn and keep going.
Step 12. Pass It On
Show a friend how to sip first or slow down.
Your example helps others.
“Strong pirates don’t fight their bodies — they listen to them.”
